It's been awhile, and I apologize. Here is another poem from a classic poet. See if you know the name of both the title and the creator.
"Hope" is the thing with feathers--
That perches in the soul--
And sings the tune without the words--
And never stops--at all--
And sweetest--in the Gale--is heard--
And sore must be the storm--
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm--
I've heard it in the chillest land--
And on the strangest Sea--
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb--of Me.
Okay, good luck to all. :-)

That's an easy one for me. Maybe I shouldn't say her name just yet. Love this. Great for highlighting poets that meant a lot to me.
i have her book but totally not familiar with this one. e.d.?
Tina and Sarah ... I figured it would be a favorite among poetry lovers! Good to know you're right on target. :-)
We've become all shy and retiring. Sarah, let's just stand up and admit we know! I'll say the first name, you say the second. EMILY!!!
DICKINSON!!!
You two are so sweet! Thank you and yes that is the right poet.
Congrats ladies.

Is trying his hand at a poem
A promising start
But it all falls apart
When he can't get the last line to rhyme, or scan
