Whew! What a Month ... sigh, relief, zzzzzzz
Okay, 30 days and 50,000 words. (And counting because it's going to take another 5,000 or so to finish the story.) I'm well-done. Stick a fork in me and I'm sizzlin'. Now, I'm going to rest up a bit. Then I'll be ready for more blogging. Promise.

50k words in a month is just freakish. I don't think I'd have it in me.
It's like the iron man race of writing! Seriously, it can drive you crazy as it's very time-consuming, averaging 3 to 4 hours of continuous writing and 1700 to 2000 words a day. I guess I could have made it just a hodge-podge of words with a nonsense plot, but that seemed a waste of time. So, I made a serious effort. It needs a lot of polishing, but I have TIME now to do that :-)

Uber...unless you count "a" and "the" no :-) But about halfway through I was tempted to type my feelings with grrrrrrrrrrrr!

i'm sorry to say this, but a lot of words doesn't mean they were good, thought out words. maybe they were just a bunch of words that don't tell much. maybe it's better to write half as many words that are twice as better because more time went into them.
quantity doesn't equal or deliver quality. of course, i'm saying this without actually seeing those words, and maybe they're fantastic. but chances are they're not.
brainsnorts... you're right, words are just words, but the plot and story are made, and now the "fun" of revising is in progress. The idea was to get a story finished -- no half-baked, almost completed manuscripts like so many tend to end up. Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
